Come to the knit-one-one studio. Sit. Relax. Knit. And the incredible Cocoknits herself will minister to you. Finish up that project you started eons ago. Get help with the tricky bits. Start a new project. Get advice on pattern choice. Or….well now it’s your turn to finish the sentence!

Guest Instructor: Nicola Brown aka Clasheen. Coming to us from Ireland (Warning: What with Sile and Nicola in the studio, you might walk out with an Irish accent!)
Nicola will unravel all her secrets of wet felting and in the process you will make a fantastical piece of jewelry (or more if you are a speedster). You will create multilayered felt balls, beads, cords, and see how found objects–glass, stones, bits of leather etc–results in a totally unique piece.

You are at a party and you hear these words—cast on, slip slip knit, DPN’s, Malabrigo. What are they talking about? Knitting of course! Take this class and you too can join in the knitting fun. You will learn all about casting on/off, knitting, purling, ribbing and knitting in the round. You will knit a hat and a scarf as you learn your new skills.

With these wee socks you will learn all the tricks of sock knitting. Afterwards you will be ready to launch on to bigger (but not necessarily better!) socks. You will master the art of DPN’s (aka double pointed needles), turning the heel–such a satisfying skill to learn– finishing the toe and so much more.

It’s costume time and Kira is here to help. Bring in items to alter and adapt or sew a costume from scratch. Kira once turned a big old dress and two sweaters into a Harry Potter robe and striped scarf (for an adult). She will help you create magic too. Note: To sew a costume, you should be able to use a machine. To adapt a costume from items you bring in, that may not be necessary!
