If you already sew, you will work on a hat. You will learn how to pleat, make a band, add lining, how to interface and much more. New to sewing? You will work on the stylish Smart Handbag. You will learn how to cut out fabric, follow a pattern, sew on a machine and much more. If time permits, you will make a business card holder, coffee sleeve, or cuff.
Session B is the week of April 5. Everything else is similar to Session A

Hemstitching dates back to the 1900s. It is super easy and fast. Carrie is a huge fan and would like you to be too! With a small needle you crochet around a piece of lovely fabric- already perforated with holes. In this class you can choose to hemstitch a baby bib and/or a burp bib–included in materials’ fee.
Fee: $24. ($5 materials fee)

Join us for the ever-popular Scarf and Scarf Party where we will eat, drink, make merry and learn entrelac. We will use Jesse Loesberg’s Danica. It looks complicated. But in fact you work the pattern a small number of stitches at a time to create this very showy scarf. A good time & laughs guaranteed!
Fee: $36 Cheese, fruit, bread and beverage included.

What NOT to knit! Have you ever knitted sweaters that you never wear? Maybe they make you feel lumpy and bumpy in all the wrong places. Come to a fun evening, part discussion, part dress-up party and learn what not to knit! We’ll determine your body type, discuss how to play up your best features and smooth over the not so great parts. We will have lots of sweaters for you to try on. Feel free to bring your own sweaters too.
